Sela Vai is a Sydney-based choreographer and dancer who seeks to create sensory aesthetic through movement. She has choreographed for the First VI production, World of Dance, and Australian Dance Festival and has created for various artists such as Ngaiire , L-Fresh the Lion and Paces. As a teacher, she has already shared her work on many platforms, teaching workshops across Australia as well as in Switzerland (BGST Studio), London (Pineapple Dance Studio, Studio 68) and Ireland (Fly Dance Studio).
Sela has been apart of a gamut of shows that demonstrate her extensive training; such as hip-hop comedy production ‘Phly Crew Show 2.0’ and then went on to tour Australia with the contemporary dance show ‘ONE’. She is currently the Sydney Curator for Jazz Club, a global virtual reality dance company that raises awareness for human rights and donates proceeds to the Move The World charity organization. More recently Sela has choreographed for the theatre show Black Birds, TEDX Sydney 2017 of Ted Talks, judged World of Dance Australia (Gold Coast and Brisbane) and performed for Sydney Fringe Festival.
Sela plans to further her artistic pursuits by continuing to create her own works in collaboration with other Australian artists.
